Three ambitious freshmen boys try to start an AI club at their high school.
Pivot in plans
Other students beat them to the punch and got an AI club running before they could. Undeterred, they decide to pivot, moving above students to work with teachers.
First test run
A local 4th grade teacher decided to work with them. She was the first ever teacher AIR collaborated with, and her class was AIR's first real AI in education experience.
AI Seminar
After expanding their efforts to work with more teachers, AIR was invited to be the only student presenters at the Five Oaks AI Summit. There they met new people and reshaped their identity into a larger more unified organization.
AI Course
After meeting AJ Green, CEO of AI Advantage Agency, a deal was made. AIR would create courses and certify teachers with the funding and support of the company. 68 teachers received full certifications after completing our 8 week AI in Education course.
AI Development - Project K
Through the continuous efforts of the amazing AIR team, the organization has grown to 8 members, as AIR starts doing more software development through Project K.
Course Pilot and Larger Efforts
With more experience under their belt, the team grew more, expanding to 12 members. Now working with entire schools during professional development days, word was spreading about our impact.
AI Policy
AIR's efforts were quickly recognized by the school district, as AIR was invited to collaborate on the GenAI committee. Additionally through one-on-one meetings, AIR was able to help add student centered ideologies to the AI policy.
Expansion
With so many resources gathered, AIR thought it was time to take their experiences and offer them to other students. Taking every slide, email, course, project, and software they created, AIR made a guide on how to start your very own AIR chapter in your own city.
Future
AIR has now grown larger than anyone could have ever expected, but they're only just getting started. AIR has ambitious goals to add more chapters and create governmental level impact. Although AIR has never applied for 501(c)(3) because the organization doesn't handle money, one day AIR plans to be a globally renowned non-profit organization.
